Hello. I’m Laura.

I’m a website copywriter, writing words for small business owners and entrepreneurs like you.

Choosing the right copywriter isn’t about fancy accolades or how often they post on social media. It’s about common purpose and values, and finding the spark that draws you together.

Experienced copywriter and cow milker for hire

My journalism degree taught me that everyone has a story - you just need to look hard enough.

After university, I travelled the world. Cooking for gold miners and milking cows were some of the useful skills I picked up before turning to copywriting.

Fast forward to 2010. Working in a hectic marketing team at a large charity. Juggling diverse digital marketing campaigns; daily website copywriting; producing stacks of media coverage and doing what I loved best – writing.

I sometimes blow my own trumpet!

My campaigns won PR Week AND CIM (Chartered Institute Of Marketing) awards (I may be Quietly Loud, but I know when to brag) and my news was regularly featured by The Guardian, The BBC and leading industry publications.

Behind the scenes

My two young children keep me on my toes.

When I’m not working, I enjoy reading proper books, Sunday papers, music, jogging (slow shuffle), country walks, cooking; I have over 100 cookery books, and visiting new places with friends and family.

Why Quietly Loud?

Getting on no-fuss copywriting is what I do best. I’ll never be the loudest person in the room, but I’m naturally inquisitive and I’ll ask you lots of questions to get the best results. Writing without fanfare and show, giving you words you’ll love.

I love learning about you and your personality, and what drives you. The whys and hows. Unearthing those gold nugget stories to entice customers.

As a writer specialising in website copywriting, my greatest enjoyment is raising your business profile, and giving you a voice you’re proud of.

My copywriting services start from £300 for a single web page. I prefer working to an agreed project rate, rather than an hourly or day rate - this helps you keep track of your budget.
