Acceptance of terms and conditions
By choosing Quietly Loud's copywriting services you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

What you can expect when working with me
When you work with me, Laura Beckett, at Quietly Loud, I will dedicate myself to your project, act in your best interests, and deliver work with care and integrity.
My quotes remain valid for seven days from the date I send them. After that, I may adjust them without notice.

Fees
My fees are project-based. I calculate my fee based on my time researching, writing and editing. I am happy to charge using my rate of £400 per day if you prefer.

My fees include industry, competitor and keyword research, a first draft, two revisions and a final check by a trusted, professional proofreader. If the project scope changes after I start writing, it will take more of my time. I may increase my fee if I have to rewrite or conduct additional research. I do not charge for meetings with web designers, marketing teams or partner agencies.

When you or your web team or designer load my writing to your website for publication, I can make minor copy amends for up to 30 days. If you request substantial changes, I may charge an additional fee.

What I need from you
Before I start your project, I will send you a project brief to be checked and confirmed by you, plus our agreed timescales and contract. When you agree to my fee, if you are a new client, I require a 40% deposit before I start any work. I also request you read, sign and return a contract.

For clients on a monthly retainer, no deposit is required before I start work.
I also need you to reply to my emails within a reasonable timescale if I request information for your copywriting project.

Payment terms
Retainer clients: I invoice retainers at the start of each month, and payment is due within seven days of the invoice date.

New clients: I require a 40% upfront payment before starting work. The remaining 60% is due upon delivery of the first draft.

If I don’t receive feedback within seven days of submitting any draft (unless we’ve agreed otherwise), I will consider the work complete and issue the final invoice.

Revisions and additional work
My quoted price includes one set of reasonable corrections or revisions to the first draft. You must request any changes within 7 days; after that, I will charge revisions at my hourly rate of £55.

If you request substantial alterations that were not part of the original brief, I will charge them at £55 per hour or £400 per day.

Cancellations and delays
If you confirm a project in writing (including email), book it in and later cancel, I reserve the right to charge 50% of the agreed fee to cover work I turned down for your project.

If you miss deadlines or fail to provide essential information (such as key messages or product details), I will adjust subsequent deadlines accordingly unless we agree to reschedule.

Copyright and portfolio use
I retain copyright on all work until you have paid the invoice in full. After that, the copyright is transferred to you.

Unless we agree otherwise, I may discuss, display, and link to completed projects in my marketing materials and case studies.

Results and responsibility
My payment is for the work itself, not based on results. I cannot guarantee:
-The success of written work, including award entries.
-Achievement of any specific objectives.
-Outcomes from implementing my recommendations.

You accept full responsibility for the success or failure of your products, services, and sales targets.

Liability and confidentiality
While I cannot guarantee results, I will indemnify you against any claims or damages directly resulting from following my professional advice.

I will treat all work details as confidential and carefully handle your information (please refer to the privacy policy.)
